A History of small wooden boxes

and other themes”

created by local Artisan Christopher Marden



From his early twenties, Chris has followed his passion for designing and creating fine woodwork using traditional and modern techniques. This unique exhibition of his work, titled; ‘A history of small wooden boxes and other themes’, will showcase a variety of pieces representing and influenced by, boxes from the 1st Century to modern times from a number of Countries across the world.  Also on display will be a collection of beautifully crafted wooden items.

The Exhibition will be held from 10am-3pm


Friday 14th, Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th August 2020


A gold coin donation can be made on entry to the Exhibition in the Hall


Over the three days a Raffle ($1.00 a ticket) will be held for a specially made box. Proceeds will go to The Hermitage and drawn on Sunday at 2:30pm. A small number of Chris’ Fine Woodwork will also be on sale.

An update from Fr Sean.....

Dear Parishioners,

This weekend the Diocese of Wollongong welcomes a new priest to its ranks.

Deacon Anthony will be ordained priest on Saturday 11 July, 2020 at Co-Cathedral in Fairy Meadow by Bishop Brian Mascord.

Anthony will celebrate his first Mass in Bowral on Sunday 12 July, 2020 at 11.00 a.m.  Unfortunately, because of current restrictions in place, parishioners will be unable to attend this Mass.

We thank Anthony for his time spent in the Highlands as Deacon and pray that he will enjoy God's many blessings as he takes up his appointment as Priest.

Mass times for next weekend will be:

Vigil Mass (18 July)              5.00 p.m.

Sunday     (19 July)              8.00 a.m.

                                        9.30 a.m.

                                      11.00 a.m. 

                                        5.00 p.m.

Weekday Masses will be Tuesday - Friday at 8.00 a.m.

Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered from 4.15 p.m. to 4.45 p.m. on Saturday.

A combined Parish Finance Committee and Parish Council meeting will be held on Tuesday 21 July in the Parish Hall at 7.00 p.m.  If you have any issues you would like raised, please contact Fr Sean through the Parish Office.
